The city of Heidelberg will hold a general election on
Tuesday, November 3, 2026, from 7 AM to 8 PM in the
Le Sueur County courthouse, 88 S. Park Avenue, Le Center,
Minnesota. Offices to be filed are:
Two (2) council members for four year term
One (1) council member for two-year term.
Affidavits of candidacy may be filed by contacting one of the
city council persons or mayor of Heidelberg, beginning
Tuesday, July 14, 2026 at 8 AM.
Affidavits must be filed with the fee of $2.00 before 5 PM on
Tuesday, July 28, 2026.

Voting hours are 7:00 am to 8:00 pm

The City of Heidelberg uses mail-in ballots. If you do not receive your ballot via U.S.mail, ballots are also available at the Le Sueur County Courthouse during regular business hours.

Absentee Voting
To complete this application online you must:
1) Be eligible to register and vote in Minnesota,
2) Provide and email address, and
3) Provide your identification number: MN-issued driver's license, Minnesota ID card or last 4 digits of Social Security Number.
Voting Qualifications
To register and vote in Minnesota on Election Day you must:

be 18 years old by Election Day

be a U.S. citizen

have lived in Minnesota 20 days immediately prior to Election Day

have any felony conviction record discharged, expired, or completed

not be under court-ordered guardianship where a court has revoked your voting rights and have not been ruled legally incompetent by a court of law
