The City of Heidelberg will hold an official Canvassing Board Meeting on Wednesday, November 11, 2026, at 6:00 PM.
The purpose of this meeting is to officially canvas and certify the voting results from the recent municipal election.
This meeting is open to the public. Residents are welcome to attend to observe the certification process.
Welcome to Heidelberg
Heidelberg is located in Lanesburgh Township within Le Sueur County, Minnesota. In the late 1850's, Frank Heil and Frederick Ihrig arrived from Germany and settled in the area. It was in honor of their homeland that they chose the name Heidelberg for our community.
Over the next 20 years a town was founded complete with a general store, shoe shop, blacksmith and also a United State Post office, founded in 1867.
